Red Bourbon is a classic Brazilian arabica variety, and this lot from Fazenda Jangada shows a more complex, fruit-driven side of Brazilian specialty coffee. The coffee is grown at around 1150 metres above sea level and is naturally processed, which brings clear sweetness, ripe fruit and an aromatic profile.
The coffee is produced and roasted by Ivan Santana, named Brazil's Coffee Roaster of the Year in 2023.
In the cup you get aromas of red berries and brown sugar. The flavour develops with hints of pink pepper and spice. The coffee has a medium body and finishes with ripe fruit and a long, lingering aftertaste.
