Acorda means awakening in Portuguese
Many of us need a dose of caffeine to get ready for the day. But there were actually other reasons why we think this name describes us: We want more people to open their eyes to specialty coffee in Norway - and the wonderful taste experience you can have with a cup of coffee when you choose beans with good quality and a rich aroma.
In addition, we need an awakening if we are to have one
to fair trade in the world, and in this case with family farmers in Brazil who dedicate their lives to growing coffee. When coffee farmers are paid the right price for specialty beans, it gives them the opportunity and motivation to operate sustainable in all areas.
It will have positive ripple effects, among other things, for the workforce they use in their home country and for the environment and nature.
